Tee Off at the Revamped Scone Golf Course
The Upper Hunter Shire Council is offering a week of free golf games to celebrate the opening of the recently renovated golf course in Scone.
The free games began on Saturday 25 May with long-time local golfers being the first to tee-off. The layout is open to everyone until Sunday 2 June.
The newly refurbished course includes a fully-automated irrigation system, an onsite bore and two enlarged ponds storing treated clean water.
The course retains the breath-taking natural features such as the gullies and matured Red River Gums with thousands of plants that have been planted to improve the diversity and ecology of the site.
The golf course comes with an automated ticketing machine that accepts cards and cash.
