Nights On Crown Has A Creepy Attraction, And Its Here To Haunt Our Nightmares!
Remember when you were young, being too afraid to turn the light off because there was a monster in the dark? Well, we think we’ve found that monster…
Created by Erth Visual and Physical Inc, Mandylights, Jacob Nash and James Brown, her name is Marri Dyin (translating to ‘Great Woman’ in the Eora language), and she is returning to the luminous landscape that is Wollongong’s Nights on Crown this year. She is sure to either terrorise or inspire – depending on how you view the six-metre phenomenon.
Created by Erth Visual and Physical Inc, Mandylights, Jacob Nash and James Brown, Marri Dyin was initially on show in Sydney in 2018. However, she made her way down to the free event, happening on Crown Street on the 20th – 22nd June.
This got Patty & Jayce thinking about their childhood nightmares, with Patty recalling a time he had a “six-foot Virgin Mary, chasing after me [Patty] through the hallway!”.
