Shoalhaven Heads Winery Celebrates 30th Anniversary
If you love a cheeky drop and are scratching your head wondering what to do this June long weekend, make the trip to Coolangatta Estate in Shoalhaven Heads.
The winery is celebrating its 30th anniversary and to kick the party off in style, it is hosting free tastings in The Great Hall on its grounds. The Great Hall, built in 1822, is overflowing with local stories and colour.
Come along and dip your toes into the Shoalhaven’s fascinating history while trying some of the Coolangatta Estate’s best wines.
The winery’s most famous and delicious drops will be available to taste between 12pm and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Wines available will include a 1998 fortified verdelho and 2003 semillon. There will also be a 2019 rose frizzante and a new limited edition sweet verdelho, named with a convict theme.
If you’d like to expand your knowledge of wine, the Great Hall will also be playing host to Andrew Spinaze, one of Australia’s best wine judges.
Andrew will be sharing his thoughts on wine and giving tutorials on Saturday at 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm.
