Wild Weather Continues Across NSW
If it felt a little frosty getting out of bed this morning you were not alone. Parts of NSW and Queensland awoke to their driveways covered in snow and 100kmh wind whipping up a frenzy outside their windows.
In the Blue Mountains some roads were closed heading towards Sydney, whilst a ‘feels like’ temperature below zero was recorded inland. Brrrrr!
There have been winds of 130kmh (!) recorded on the South Coast near to Ulladulla. People are advised to tie down their trampolines to avoid a repeat of last years storm in the Illawarra, which ended with trampolines stuck in powerlines.
A search effort for a missing surfer at Warilla Beach, Wollongong has been deemed successful as all swimmers have been accounted for.
The NSW Police has urged dare-devil wave seekers to pair up if they want to tackle the 5 metre swell.
BOM has advised travellers to prepare for a longer commute. Delays are expected on public transport, roads in the Illawarra and those heading into Sydney.
