Another Huge Weekend as the NRL Kicks into Gear
It’s good news story for footy fans as Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced today, a further easing of COVID-19 restrictions. Stadiums that can hold up to 40,000 people will be able to operate at 25 per cent capacity in July as part of changes to stage three of Australia’s re-opening.
Ahead of another huge weekend of NRL, we have pulled apart the round for you.
Warriors v Cowboys, Friday 6pm (8pm NZT) at Central Coast Stadium
The Cowboys have announced that Jason Taumalolo would be part of the team tonight. Plus, the Warriors have won only two of their past 13 games against the Cowboys in Australia.
Eels v Panthers, Friday 7.55pm at Bankwest Stadium
The unbeaten records of the Parramatta Eels and Penrith Panthers will be on the line when the two sides meet in a highly anticipated battle of the West.
Rabbitohs v Titans, Saturday 3pm at Bankwest Stadium
Despite winning their first game in almost a year last week, the Titans are up for a challenge as they battle against Souths. The Rabbitohs have a similar issue but have the star power of Cody Walker to give them the edge.
Knights v Storm, Saturday 5.30pm at Central Coast Stadium
Melbourne bounced back from their Round 3 defeat with a win over the Rabbitohs in the last round. Newcastle have shown they’re willing to put up a good fight, but few have ever done it better than the Storm.
Enjoy! Hopefully we will all be back in the stadiums with the true footy atmosphere as soon as possible.
