Huge plant-feeding dinosaur remains confirmed in south-west Queensland!

A plant-feeding dinosaur’s remains have been found just off south-west Queensland, with scientists reporting the dinosaur likely lived between 92m and 96m years ago, during the Cretaceous period.

The remains had actually been found in 2007, however they have only just been confirmed as the biggest ever dinosaur remains to be found down under, with the dinosaur estimated to have been stood between 25 and 30m tall.

Queensland Museum and Eromanga Natural History Museum paleontologists spent 14 years delicately cleaning the remains, with the remote location, fragility and size of the bones, posing an ample challenge for recovery efforts.
