It’s winter but we’re ready to get out to a festival!
There’s plenty to see and get out and about to soak up some atmosphere, some food and some local produce and talent.
First we start out in Townsville, with the Playground Festival. This is the culmination of the TheatreiNQ Writer’s Festival. Amateur playwrights have been working with professional actors and directors to bring their plays to life. Now we will all be able to experience them in a concert style public reading at Hyde Park.
If films are more your thing, the Travelling Film Festival hits Newcastle this weekend. Opening the festival is 6 Festivals by Australian Director, Macario De Souza. It’s a tale of teenage friendship set against the backdrop of live music festivals. And really shot at festivals!
Finally we can drop in to the end of the Taste of Central Geelong Festival. There’s still time to make edible creations and have some fun at Drag Brunch before picking up your free seeds and some tips on growing your own herbs and veges!
So find that special festival and get yourself ready to go and mingle!
