Olivia Rodrigo and Lily Allen say ‘F*** You’ to US Supreme Court
From the main stage of the Uk’s famed Glastonbury festival yesterday, Olivia Rodrigo expressed that she was ‘heartbroken’ over the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn constitutional rights to abortion.
The 19-year-old welcomed fellow pop star Lily Allen to the stage of her first Glastonbury to sing Allen’s 2008 hit ‘F*** You’ in dedication to the Justices who had pushed for the ruling.
Introducing the song she said ‘I’m devastated and terrified. So many women and so many girls are going to die because of this. I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have showed us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a s*** about freedom.’
As the crowd booed in solidarity, she added ‘The song is for the justices: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you!’
