Gen Zed Report: TIME IS UP !!!!

Since the dawn of time, generations have found different ways to tell time. From the sun dials of Babylon , the water clocks of Ancient Greece, the pendulums of the Renaissance– these markers of time have been deemed obsolete. The analogue clock has been the main source of time keeping for generations. However, thanks to Gen Zed, TIME IS UP for the analogue clock.
The analogue clock is being phased out in institutions around the world, as a large percentage of Gen Z do not know how to read clock with hands. A report from the International Business Times states the parents in the UK are worried that their children do not have the “important life skill”(2025). This should not be a shock to any of us in the real world who use digital clocks. A once essential skill has fallen into disuse not because we have become more stupid, but because our tools have become more sophisticated. We don’t need an analogue watch to tell us the time. We have smart-watches that tells us time, count our steps, measure our heart rate, and digitally judge us when we devour pineapple donut and not log it into a calorie counter.
This has also turned into a battle of time language. To us of the blessed generation, the time is 9:42; to those in living in the past, it is eighteen minutes to the next hour. We value our time and no longer wish to spend wasting valuable seconds it’s telling of it.
