You’ve heard us spin Illawarra legends like Hockey Dad – but have you dived into the shimmering 70’s alt-rock sounds of Pacific Avenue? Hailing from Gerringong, this rising four-piece have been making waves since their band was born in 2017.

Fronted by Harry O’Brien on lead vocals and guitar, with Ben Fryer on lead guitar, Jack Kay on bass and vocals, and Dom Littrick holding down drums and vocals, Pacific avenue is a tight unit with a bold sound.

Merging the raw soul of classic Rock ‘n’ Roll with the gloss of modern indie, Pacific Avenue channel timeless energy into tracks that feel both nostalgic and new. Picture Aussie icons Powderfinger and Jet jamming with Oasis and The Beatles in a smoke-hazed basement circa ’78, all while wearing outfits handpicked by Fleetwood Mac. That’s the vibe. This band doesn’t just play music – they rework vintage rock into something entirely of the now.

They’ve supported big acts like The Wombats (UK), Louis Tomlinson, Tash Sultana, Ocean Alley and Ruby Fields. In 2023, their debut album ‘Flowers’ bloomed big – hitting #1 on the ARIA Australian album chart, #1 on the ARIA Independent Album chart and #4 on the ARIA Vinyl album chart.

Harry’s velvety vocals, Ben’s razor-sharp riffs, Jack’s eclectic bass-lines and Dom’s punchy percussion, weave together to create a soundscape equal parts euphoric and introspective.

If you haven’t already, start your Pacific Avenue journey with ‘Something Good’ or ‘Easy Love’ – two dreamy alt-rock gems perfect for late-night drives or sun-soaked afternoons.
