A new music, art and wellness festival is coming to Kiama
In November 2023, the Clearly Music, Arts & Wellness Festival will have its debut event at the Kiama Showground.
The festival will feature live music, art exhibitions, wellness activations, and a raft of creative talent from across the country, and importantly, from the Illawarra.
Festival founder, Dom Furber is an Illawarra local, who attended primary school in Gerringong and high school in Kiama.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to bring a festival there. I’ve been producing events since 2010, when I actually had left the land of milk and honey, AKA Kiama and Gerringong. It’s a dream come true to finally bring this to life,” Dom told Tristan on 2NRS Drive.
Xavier Rudd and Skeggs will be headlining the festival. Ruby Fields, who is moving back to Kiama, will also feature, alongside hometown heroes Big Twisty & The Funknasty.
“We’re announcing our special guest shortly, so watch this space…rather large,” says Dom.
Clearly’s focus on local is something that will set it apart from other festivals.
“It’s a party and everyone’s invited…it’s for the community and by the community,” Dom told Tristan.
The Clearer Workshop will also happen the day before, a conference and workshop with music industry highfliers, including agents, managers and promoters. Ten scholarships will be given out to developing artists.
