In South Nowra, Bellevue Street will be closed between Flinders Road and Central Avenue until Friday the 13^th as police investigate a car crash.

At approximately 9:30am on Tuesday the 10^th a Volkswagen Station Wagon collided with a Ute.

The Volkswagen driver was airlifted to hospital after ambulance paramedics freed her from the vehicle.

She was stabilised at the scene before a rescue helicopter flew her to St. George hospital for further treatment

The driver of the Ute only received minor injuries, despite the tray of his vehicle being ripped off as a result of the impact.

Police officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are conducting an investigating the incident.
